Soumya Awasthi
Dr Soumya Awasthi, a scholar with diverse research experience, has made significant contributions to terrorism, geopolitics, and international relations. Her doctoral thesis provides a comprehensive analysis of the role of religious ideologies in shaping geopolitical landscapes in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. This work is particularly relevant in these regions’ ongoing conflict and extremism. Her expertise also extends to India’s civil-military relations and defence procurements, as evidenced by her MPhil and notable publications.
Furthermore, Dr Awasthi has been involved in projects related to de-radicalisation programs in India, highlighting her commitment to addressing the challenges of terrorism and extremism. Her work is a valuable contribution to understanding these complex issues and can potentially inform policy and practice in the field.
